As part of the StartClim research programme, projects are being awarded for the 22nd time in 2024. Innovative projects are being funded that address current questions relating to the national climate change adaptation strategy.

The submission deadline for project proposals runs from 15 February to 4 April 2024 at 12:00.

The research questions for StartClim2024 are structured into four thematic blocks:

• Emergency scenario for the impacts of extreme natural hazards
• EU Mission Adaptation to Climate Change
• Impacts and risks of climate change on critical infrastructure
• Development and analysis of Austrian socio-economic scenarios

Do you have an idea for a StartClim project, but it doesn't fit the listed research questions? This year the programme again allows you to submit a proposal on a topic of your choice.
