The two Summer Universities Green.Building.Solutions. and Alternative Economic and Monetary Systems have been inspiring young changemakers to engage with climate-resilient construction and sustainability in the economic and financial sector for more than 15 years (GBS) and 10 years (AEMS) respectively. Both programmes will take place again in summer 2025: the University of Graz is once again offering 1 partial scholarship per programme! This allows one person to participate at a reduced self-contribution. Applications for scholarships are open until 30 April.

The GBS is a non-profit academic program, managed and implemented by the OeAD student housing. It is mainly organized in cooperation with the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna (BOKU University) and the Technical University Vienna (TU Wien),and more than 70 other partners worldwide. The educational program, held annually in Vienna, offers a holistic approach to sustainability and combines lectures, panel discussions, workshops, and extracurricular activities. Through hands-on education, pioneering architects, planners, and engineers share their personal experiences and best practices, offering valuable insights into the integration of sustainability and quality in design and construction.

The Summer University AEMS (Alternative Economic and Monetary Systems) is an exciting academic program that offers a holistic approach to sustainability and the dynamic connections between economy, society, and the environment. Get ready for engaging lectures, lively discussions, interactive workshops, and a variety of extracurricular activities – all set in the vibrant city of Vienna.
