This is the motto of one of the Sustainable Shapers 2023. And it applies equally to all of those honoured. The jury of 53 experts has voted — the 17 Sustainable Shapers 2023 have been chosen.

What's special this year: the Sustainable Shapers have developed business models that offer tailored solutions for local needs, focusing on conserving our resources and on advice, education, and dialogue. Forward-thinking stuff.

Machines are being built that can be used for plastic recycling in any small community worldwide; heating and cooling systems are being designed that optimally combine locally available renewable resources; and educational and advisory services are being developed that best support their respective target groups. With a great deal of innovative spirit, commitment, and perseverance, the Sustainable Shapers are developing their products and offerings.

Harald Rieder and Gerhard Wotawa, the two chairs of the Climate Change Centre Austria, are the Sustainable Shapers in the category "How do we stop climate change?"
