Tauwetter - the Profil podcast on the climate crisis

Tauwetter #27: Climate policy expert Reinhard Steurer on the denial and repression with which we face the catastrophe

The facts are plain as day. Yet real, tangible political measures against climate change have — if at all — only begun to emerge in recent years, now that the topic has captured the attention of the broader public. Where does our peculiar way of dealing with the crisis come from? This is one of the questions addressed by Reinhard Steurer, Professor of Climate Policy at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU) in Vienna. He is this episode's guest in the "Tauwetter" studio, joining Christina Hiptmayr and Joseph Gepp.

"Tauwetter" refers both to times of snowmelt and to periods of political renewal. "Tauwetter" is also the name of the new profil podcast on the climate crisis and how to tackle it — with a focus on Austria. Further episodes are available every other Friday on https://www.profil.at (as well as all major podcast platforms) and on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts and Spotify.
