We're asking you, as experts, to help us find new topic proposals.
Here you'll find the templates to fill in in pdf and word format, which will help you with formulating a topic.
We'd like to ask you to send one of these templates by Monday, 02 March 2020 to alexandra.goed@ccca.ac.at.
The aim is to identify 3 topics with draft text proposals that we can submit to the Climate and Energy Fund.
Criteria for a new Special Report are:
- Consideration of mitigation, adaptation and climate impacts
- Social/political relevance of the topic
- Critical mass of motivated scientists
- Sufficient breadth across the boundaries of scientific disciplines
- The scientific community is large enough to cover the topic comprehensively
- A sufficient quantity and quality of existing, usable studies, literature, etc. is available
- The willingness of the community is present to develop an APCC product
- Funding by stakeholders/funders is possible
At the APCC Working Group meeting 18_01/19_01 and the 10th General Assembly of CCCA 2018, the following topics were collected, though most of them only partially — and some barely — meet the stated criteria, and are therefore intended for information purposes only:
- Fauna & climate change
- Migration & climate change
- Governance & climate change
- Spatial planning & climate change
- Construction and building sector & climate change
- Socio-economic processes & climate change
- Consumption & climate change
- Intergenerational Justice & climate change
- Climate Justice & climate change
- Water & climate change (glaciers, extreme events, etc.)
- Energy supply under climate change conditions for Austria: decarbonisation 2050 incl. climate impacts
- What does the global 1.5°C target mean for Austria? Mitigation, adaptation, impacts, vulnerability
- Climate change and investment/innovation for sustainable infrastructure
- Managing climate risks in Austria
