Voices of the climate crisis: "In one night I lost my entire world"


In the flood disaster in Pakistan, Ahmed Saleh loses his son and family. Around the world, the climate crisis is destroying and changing people's lives. Here, they tell their stories.

More clearly than ever, the summer of 2022 is showing the consequences of climate change: a third of Pakistan is under water, just months after the country experienced an extreme heatwave. Europe is in the grip of a historic drought, Italy has declared a state of emergency, and rivers are drying up. China is also experiencing extreme temperatures, while East Africa faces famine.

The climate crisis and its consequences are changing the everyday lives of millions of people around the world. How are they adapting — if that's even still possible?
