The Austrian Biomass Association is launching the Wood Energy Award for the first time, with categories for firewood, wood chips and pellets. Submissions are open to both private individuals and companies. Projects from fuel production, plant manufacturing, as well as construction and end-customer projects of all sizes can be submitted.

The Wood Energy Award is held under the motto "Good heat grows back".

Projects from fuel production, plant manufacturing, construction and end-customer projects of all sizes from private individuals and businesses, implemented between 2020 and 2023, can be submitted.

The submission deadline is 30 September 2023.

Winners will be presented with their awards at the Biomass Day on 8 November and at the Tiled Stove Day on 20 October in Wieselburg. In addition, each winning project will be featured in the Ökoenergie newspaper.

The prize money amounts to EUR 3,000 each and will be donated to a charitable organisation of your choice.
