The 2024 edition of the Young Academics Award — the prize supporting young and innovative research on Alpine topics — is in full swing and our inbox is slowly filling up! There's still time to enter the competition and win great prizes, but the submission deadline is approaching.

We warmly invite students at the University of Graz to take part. As well as recognising the important contributions of young researchers, there are also great prizes to be won! We kindly ask you to pass this invitation and information on to relevant contacts.

This edition of the Alpine Convention's young researchers' award focuses on the theme "Responding to environmental change and maintaining a high quality of life in the Alps". Submissions addressing the following related sub-topics are welcome:

• Climate protection and biodiversity conservation through nature-based solutions;
• Governance for resilient communities in the face of environmental change;
• Socio-economic aspects of adapting to and mitigating environmental change.

Successful applicants can win one of nine available prizes worth up to €1,000, provided by the Slovenian Presidency of the Alpine Convention, as well as by six Alpine Convention Infopoints!
