Climate change is one of the most challenging issues facing our generation. The far-reaching and multidimensional consequences that await us will transform life across the entire world.
By now, these consequences and effects have been researched across multiple disciplines and confirmed by science. At the same time, the dangers of climate change are a hot topic of conversation and
are very much on the minds of pupils who will be affected by them in the future. Yet knowledge about climate change, its physical mechanisms, and its humanitarian and economic effects often doesn't get enough space in the curriculum. Understanding the effects of our actions is, however, the foundation for societal transformation.
That's why students and graduates have set themselves the goal of closing this knowledge gap and strengthening the scientific and social science understanding of the climate system and climate policy, as well as raising awareness of our planet and our future. This gave rise to the project "Climate Education for Schools".
