By ratifying various climate strategies, agreements and programmes such as the Paris Agreement, the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, or the "mission 2030" and the Austrian Climate Change Adaptation Strategy, Austria has committed itself to implementing ambitious goals in the area of climate policy and sustainability. These goals require a comprehensive structural transformation towards a "climate-friendly", low-CO2 society and economy, and represent an enormous challenge for us.
