The successful completion of the Second Austrian Assessment Report on Climate Change (AAR2, publication planned for June 2025) underscores the high scientific and societal value of the APCC process. We'd like to build on this momentum to ensure the continuity of scientific assessment reports on climate change, even under the currently challenging budgetary conditions.
Especially in times of complex climate policy challenges, it remains essential to regularly and systematically consolidate existing research findings on key topic areas and make them accessible. In doing so, we make an important contribution to evidence-based climate policy and to fulfilling national and international obligations.
In the lead-up to the next call for proposals under the ACRP programme of the Climate and Energy Fund, CCCA is therefore currently collecting, within the APCC framework, topic proposals for a future APCC Special Report that can be submitted to the 17th ACRP Call.
Please note: APCC reports do not constitute new research, but rather systematically and interdisciplinarily synthesise existing scientific findings.
