Aims of the Klimatag

The Austrian Klimatag is a scientific conference that also offers programmes for an interested general public.

The 16th Austrian Klimatag

  • aims to provide an overview of current Austrian research activities in the areas of climate change, impacts, adaptation, and mitigation.
  • serves as a platform for exchange and networking amongst all individuals and institutions interested in climate change.
  • facilitates networking between the natural sciences, socioeconomics, and the humanities and cultural sciences.
  • promotes exchange between fundamental research, applied research, and practitioners.
  • is open to encouraging and fostering dialogue, discussion, and networking between scientific and non-scientific groups.
  • invites Viennese school classes to engage in dialogue with climate experts.
