Nr. 13: Soil Consumption

Is the ground being pulled from under our feet? The sealing of land surfaces leads to a permanent loss of biologically productive soil, resulting in, among other things, a reduction in agricultural capacity and the loss of an important CO2 sink.

We therefore need an effective national soil strategy to preserve healthy soil — and with it, not least, our food security and livelihoods.
