Nr. 15: Health

The impacts of climate change on human health are wide-ranging. The effects of heat in particular are immediately felt on both a physical and mental level.

Lesser-known impacts of climate change on our health include, for example, the increase in respiratory diseases due to higher pollen loads, food shortages, and more frequent zoonoses (diseases transmitted by animals, such as Covid or Lyme disease).

The environment, the climate, and human health are closely intertwined. Climate protection is essential if we want to continue living healthily in the future. Diet, mobility, and housing are the biggest levers in shaping future development. One thing is clear: whoever protects the climate is also protecting themselves and those around them!
