CCCA Early Career Researcher Award
At the 21st Klimatag, the CCCA Early Career Researcher Award for the years 2020 and 2021 will be presented. The Early Career Researcher Award for the year 2020 was given to Sandro Oswald (Zentralanstalt für Meteorologie und Geodynamik) for the paper "Using urban climate modelling and improved land use classifications to support climate change adaptation in urban environments: a case study for the city of Klagenfurt, Austria".
The Early Career Researcher Award for the year 2021 was given to Christoph Sejkora (Montanuniversität Leoben) for the paper "Exergy as Criteria for Efficient Energy Systems—A Spatially Resolved Comparison of the Current Exergy Consumption, the Current Useful Exergy Demand and Renewable Exergy Potential".
With the Early Career Researcher Award, CCCA aims to highlight and recognise the scientific achievements of young researchers. Submissions are made via a scientific publication, which is evaluated by renowned scientists. Each submitter receives, upon request, written feedback on their submitted paper. The best paper is awarded at the Klimatag with a talk in a scientific session and a prize of 1,000 euros.
