CCCA Poster Prizes
During the Klimatag, participants had the chance to rate the posters on display. Based on this, a jury awarded the poster prize.
The poster had to meet the following criteria:
- The poster is visually appealing and its message is clearly understandable.
- The content of the poster is of high scientific quality and innovative.
- The content of the poster has high scientific and societal relevance.
The jury reviewed the highest-rated posters from the audience once more and awarded prizes to the 3 posters that best met the criteria. Prizes were only awarded to posters whose authors were represented by at least one person at the award ceremony. The award ceremony took place on Fri, 22 April as part of Session 5 (12:00–13:15).

CCCA Early Career Researcher Prize
The 22nd Klimatag also saw the presentation of the annual CCCA Early Career Researcher Prize. For 2022, the CCCA Early Career Researcher Prize was awarded to Mr Andrea Franco (University of Innsbruck) for the paper "Triggers and consequences of landslide-induced impulse waves - 3D dynamic reconstruction of the Taan Fiord 2015 tsunami event".
With the Early Career Researcher Prize, CCCA aims to shine a spotlight on and recognise the scientific achievements of young researchers. Submissions are made via a scientific publication, which is evaluated by renowned scientists. Every applicant receives written feedback on their submitted paper. The highest-rated paper is awarded a prize of 1,000 euros at the Klimatag and presented as a talk in a scientific session. After successfully completing the review process, it is also the aim to give all other submitted scientific publications a presence at the Klimatag in the form of poster presentations.
Eligibility requirements
- Timely submission of a scientific paper for the Early Career Researcher Prize (submission deadline: Sun, 14.11.2021, 23:00).
- The submitted paper has either already been published in a recognised scientific journal or accepted for publication (with minor or major revisions) (in 2020 or 2021). In either case, the relevant journal must be specified and the "Editorial Decision Email" from the journal must be included.
- The applicant must be the sole or first author and must have largely conceived, analysed, and written the work themselves. In the case of co-authorships, the submission must specify how the creation of the work was divided among the co-authors (at least 50% of the text written by the applicant).
