In 2020, Burgenland recorded its seventh warmest year in measurement history. The year was 1.9 °C too warm. The record-warm February, with a temperature anomaly of more than +5 °C, resembled a spring month. The winter of 2019/20 as a whole is the second warmest since measurements began. The first five months as well as November were partly extremely dry. However, the other months were able to compensate for the precipitation deficit, resulting in the year being 13% too wet overall...
