PROGRAMME
The focus of this year's Pre-Day to the Climate Day was on networking within the climate research community — between early-career researchers and senior scientists — as well as with practitioners and multipliers in this field.
The aim of the event was to foster new collaborations and project partnerships in Austria and across the D-A-CH region. Participants had the opportunity to present their project ideas, identify funding opportunities for their ideas, and find potential project partners. Welcome attendees included the climate research community: senior scientists and early-career researchers, as well as practitioners and multipliers in the areas of climate change adaptation and climate protection: authorities (climate protection coordinators, climate model regions), NGOs, interest groups, etc.
In order to build the most diverse and interdisciplinary project teams possible, collaboration between universities and research institutions with stakeholders from practice is essential; only in this way can the goal of moving from "knowledge to action" be achieved.
