Climate Review Upper Austria 2021

Although 2021 didn't reach the extremely high mean temperatures of previous years, it was still far too warm, with a deviation of +1.2 °C. Over the course of the year, precipitation conditions were largely balanced. Heavy rainfall in July contrasted with the driest September in recent decades. 2021 continued the series of very sunny years, with a surplus of 11 % in sunshine hours. Due to a prolonged heatwave, June was the third warmest and second sunniest since records began.
