Climate Review Tyrol 2022

2022 clearly broke the still recent temperature record from 2018: it was, on average across the federal state of Tyrol, the warmest year since records began. October ranked as the warmest, and May as the second warmest month in their respective comparison series. Summer was the third warmest on record, behind 2003 and 2019. March stood out as the driest and simultaneously the sunniest March month since at least 1961. Despite a cloudy September, 2022 ranks third among the sunniest years in Tyrol since 1961. In Innsbruck, the 25-degree mark was exceeded on 98 days. Only 2018 and 2003 recorded more summer days than 2022…
